Single Stream Recycling has been a big success. Round Rock Refuse presented North Austin MUD #1 with a check of nearly $900 for the recycled materials collected in September 2011. Nearly 45 tons of materials were collected and approximately 75% of our residents are participating. Directors noted that the streets have been cleaner with the carts being used for recycling rather than the open bins used before. Texascapes representative, Richard Fadal, stated that the creeks and greenbelts have had significantly less litter as well.
