Stage 2 Watering Restrictions in effect 5/1/24
Due to ongoing drought conditions and combined storage levels of Lake Travis and Buchanan below 900,000 acre -feet, the District will move to Stage 2 of its drought contingency plan effective August 15th. Stage 2 restrictions include a once-weekly watering schedule.

The North Austin Municipal Utility District has passed a Drought Contingency Plan for the District in May 2024. This plan defines various levels of Water Conservation measures and describes the points when each level will be triggered.
The District is currently in MANDATORY water restrictions and ask that customers conserve water and water according to the Designated Outdoor Water Day Schedule shown above. Outdoor watering is prohibited between the hours of 10am to 7pm. Full details and restrictions can be found in the drought plan below.
